Summer Science Program
Test your limits, channel your inner innovator, spark your creativity - take the SSP Challenge!
SSP is a week-long summer camp experience for rising 8th, 9th and 10th graders from across the state. The camp is designed for talented young teens who are enthusiastic about science and interactive lab experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in hands-on, challenging activities in a variety of subject areas. Course levels are advanced and students will leave camp with valuable knowledge they can use for the rest of their lives!
2012 Camps:
Week 1: June 10 - June 16, 2012
Week 2: June 17 - June 23, 2012
Week 3: June 24 - June 30, 2012
What you can expect at SSP:
- Engaging lectures and demonstrations by South Carolina professors representing a variety of colleges
- Cool field trips and hands-on experiences
- Unique speakers' program featuring a number of well-known South Carolina scientists
- Fun evening activities
- Interactive lab experiments in GSSM's state-of-the-art laboratories
- New friendships
