ScienceSouth
The South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics and ScienceSouth, a non-profit educational organization in Florence, have joined forces to inspire young students with hands-on science fun and enhanced classroom curriculum. The duo will utilize the new ScienceSouth Science on Wheels (SSOW) mobile laboratory.

- Providing high quality science and mathematics programming to K-12 students and teachers in Pee Dee area school districts
- Providing schools with a means to implement standards-based science and mathematics activities
- Inspiring students with real-world science and mathematics learning activities
GSSM will play a role in conducting a Science Exploration Day for the community at the School's Hartsville campus; providing ScienceSouth Science on Wheels laboratory experiences to students and teachers in a cohort of schools affiliated with the S.C. Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness Programs (GEAR UP) project; and serving as a host site for ScienceSouth summer Science Challenge camps.
