GSSM Receives Gold Award from the S.C. Department of Education

The South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM) recently was awarded a Gold Award in the 2007-08 Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards Program.
Established by the Education Accountability Act, the awards program recognizes schools with the highest levels of student academic achievement and the fastest rates of improvement.
In recognition and appreciation of its success, GSSM will receive a commemorative flag and a monetary award.
