GSSM Celebrates "Hometown Teachers" at Annual Teacher Appreciation Day

On Friday, November 16, teachers from across the state gathered in Hartsville for the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics' (GSSM) Teacher Appreciation Day, a celebration of GSSM students' most influential teachers from their home high schools.

The following teachers attended Teacher Appreciation Day:

Students apply to GSSM during their sophomore year, and upon acceptance, spend their last two years of high school at the Hartsville campus. GSSM's Teacher Appreciation Day recognizes teachers who helped to lay the groundwork for some of our state's most academically talented teenagers.
