Alum Appointed to GSSM Board of Trustees
Floyd, a graduate of GSSM's charter class, is a litigation partner with Parker, Poe, Adams and Bernstein, LLP in Columbia, S.C. where he specializes in commercial litigation, with an emphasis on science and technology issues. "We are particularly pleased with the Governor's appointment of Mr. Floyd," said Dr. Murray Brockman, GSSM president. "Not only is he practicing law in areas critical for economic development, he is the first alumnus of the Governor's School for Science and Mathematics to serve on our Board. He brings unique insight into our school to this role." Board members are appointed by the Governor. They meet four times annually and serve as the policy-making entity for the school. |
