Mrs. Bryan has a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the College of Charleston. For seven years, she worked as an analytical chemist for British Petroleum (BP) in Texas before returning to South Carolina and entering the field of education. She taught AP Chemistry and Environmental Biology for several years at Pinewood Prep, where her classes were recognized as the national winner in three major science competitions and as the Southeastern regional winner in five other science competitions. National and regional wins included Seiko's Environmental Challenge (was the national winner two years in a row, meriting $80,000 in scholarships and school monies), Toshiba's Exploravision and National Geographic's Environmental Geography Competition. Before coming to GSSM, she worked as a private school principal in the S.C. Independent School Association for nine years.
